City Park Archviz

This project was designed to be built within a wooded park in the Beyoğlu district of Istanbul, without harming the natural environment or cutting down any trees. It consists of spaces where people of all ages can enjoy their time including a social facility, library, cafe, a small waterfall, an artificial pond and stream, walking paths, gazebos, picnic areas, a playground, and benches scattered throughout the park.

It is the largest project I have worked on so far, and I took an active role in every stage of its creation. Apart from receiving conceptual approvals from the architects, I handled the entire process from design and modeling to rendering and animation completely on my own. The whole project was drawn, designed, rendered, and animated within just 20 days. I also created two alternative park designs for the same site, which you can find in my portfolio.

This project also benefited from the generous contributions of the 3D art community including free model resources provided by the Quixel team, Marketplace creators, and Sketchfab artists who share their work for others to use. Since the project was completed under a ridiculously tight deadline, I plan to track down the creators of the free assets I used and give proper credit to each of them.

All visuals were rendered using Path Tracer, and Lumen was used for the animation.

Designed and created by Muhammed Ali Acar.
